About me

Introduction

Hi!! My name is Karma Lhakee a.k.a Kuku. I've completed my bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from MDU, Haryana, India. Fab-lab is a totally new concept for me. I've never been exposed to this tech world until I saw Super Fab-Lab inauguration on the National television. Though the process seems so advanced and complicated, what motivated me was how this technology could be used to solve problems leading to innovation. My family being my moral supporter, upon sharing my interest in Fab Academy encouraged me further to join this Course.

Fab Academy Student Agreement

The Fab Academy is responsible for:

  1. Teaching principles and practices of digital fabrication
  2. Arranging lectures, recitations, meetings, and events for the class
  3. Evaluating and providing feedback on student work
  4. Offering clear standards for completing assignments
  5. Certifying and archiving student progress
  6. Offering clear standards for completing assignments
  7. Supervising class preparation
  8. Reviewing prospective students, instructors, and labs
  9. Providing central staff and infrastructure for students, instructors, and labs
  10. Fund-raising for costs not covered by student tuition
  11. Managing and reporting on the program's finances, results, and impacts
  12. Publicizing the program
  13. Promoting a respectful environment free of harassment and discrimination
  14. Encourage a diverse, accessible, and equitable community

I am a Fab Academy student, responsible for:

  1. Attending class lectures and participating in reviews
  2. Developing and documenting projects assigned to introduce and demonstrate skills
  3. Allowing the Fab Academy to share my work (with attribution) in the class for purposes compatible with its mission
  4. Honestly reporting on my work, and appropriately attributing the work of others (both human and machine)
  5. Working safely
  6. Leaving workspaces in the same (or better) condition than I found them
  7. Participating in the upkeep of my lab
  8. Ensuring that my tuition for local and central class costs is covered
  9. Following locally applicable health and safety guidance
  10. Promoting a respectful environment free of harassment and discrimination
