Output Devices
Group Assignment 2022 (Raffaele Alone)
As in the following week we will work with NEMA17 motors, I am going to measure the power consumption of the driver associated to motor that we will use. It's a Nema17 stepper motor controlled Arduino Board.
I will connect my electronic plate with the Nema 17 engine as seen in the photo (driver DRV8825).

I feed my board at 12 Vdc

In this photo it can be seen that the measurement shows an intensity value 0.000 amps to a stopped motor

In this other photo we can see that the intensity in amps measured when the motor is running is 0.225 amps

We can then say that the intensity needed to start the motor is 0.225 amps
The electrical power needed to start the motor is from the motor is P= VxA = (12v)(0.225) =2.7 W
