    Assignment:
Model (raster, vector, 2D, 3D, render, animate, simulate, ...) a possible final project, and post it on your class page.

    Softwares:

  1. • Fusion 360
  2. • CoreIDRAW
  3. • JobControl® -Laser Software

  4. I have only used two programs as listed above, the 1st one for 3D design whereas the 2nd one for 2D design. But yet I need to experience other programs (Rhinoceros 5, LibreCAD...) which we were exposed to it at the class.

    Steps:
    A- CoreIDRAW

  5. 1- Download a pic from google. I selected a pic of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founder of the UAE.

  6. 2- Open a new file

  7. 3- Import the pic

  8. 4- Select the pic and click on trace bitmap, then outline trace and high-quality image. This step helps to convert any pic into vector format.

  9. 5- Save the 2nd pic and select file to export for web.

  10. After that, you are able to change the colors if you want, but I kept it as it is. I have experienced other tools as well, but the above was critical for me to apply it as I will be using this technique for my final project.

    B- Fusion 360
I have designed part of pipe clamp which is based on a video tutorial from Autodesk account.

    Challenges:

  11. • Had difficulties using Fusion 360 since it was my first time to use it.
  12. • Consumed time & energy to understand the functions of the tools in Fusion 360.
