3D Scanning & Printing

    Assignment:

  1. • Design and 3D print an object (small, few cm3, limited by printer time) that could not be made subtractively
  2. • 3D scan an object (and optionally print it) 3D scan

    Software:
    Ultimaker Cura

    Machine:
    Ultimaker 3 Extended

    Steps:

    Scanned a small object which is Dubai Maker Fair.



  3. 1- Select what will you scan, is it a person or an object.


  4. 2- Specify the size of the object.


    5. Used a table to ensure not to miss the tracking of the object while I am moving around the object and looking at the screen at the same time.


  5. 3- Click start scan


  6. 4- Hold sense machine and start moving around the item slowly
  7. 5- Save the file


    8. Challenges:
    Kept losing the track of the object whenever I look at the scree while I am scanning the object.

    • Ultimaker Cura

    Ultimaker 3 Extended

    Steps:

  8. 1- Designed a spinner through Fusion 360. I lost my screen shots for the design.
  9. 2- Opened Ultimaker Cure and adjust the below for printing.
