Linda Wanders - Instructor
My name is Linda Wanders, I'm from the Netherlands, 27 years old and I have a degree in Graphic Design and in Fine arts - Education. I have always had an interest in creating stuff. It's fun and challenging to figure out the best approach to design something neat, whether 2D or 3D.
Halldór Bragason - Student
My name is Halldór Bragason. I´m Teaching at Technical College Reykjavík school of multimedia, I teach animation. I got very interested about fablabs on fab10 in barcelona I was there with my wife who has been working in fablab Reykjavik. I am really glad that I have a chance to take this course, I think I can learn a lot.
Margrét Óskarsdóttir - Student
My name is Margrét Óskarsdóttir and I´m from Reykjavik, Iceland and I´m an artist. I´m a teacher at Reykjavik Adult Education Center. My background is broad and my studies include literature, philosophy, acting, music and film. I teach acting, film and stop-motion as well as teaching in the art and design department.
Sigridur Helga Hauksdóttir - Student
Hi, my name is Sigridur Helga Hauksdottir or Sigga for short. I live in Reykjavik Iceland. I am an artist and designer, I work freelance but I also teach. I have been teaching at the Icelandic Art Academy for the last 10 years. There I mainly teach mold making techniques with plaster. I also teach at Reykjavik Art School and at Reykjavík's Adult Educational center, where I´m head of the Art's department. I teach among other things silversmithing, graphic design, drawing, silk screen printing, wood carving , ceramics and glass. Lately I have been teaching some groups in the Reykjavik FabLab and I am joining the Fab Academy to become a better instructor for my students.
Skúlina Hlif Kjartansdottir - Student
I have a background in education, the arts, crafts and design. My first professional job was in teaching, but I went on to do further studies in 3-dimensional design and metalwork. I also completed an MA in site-specific sculpture. I worked for some years as a designer in the gaming industry, but have since been employed in various fields, such as web editing and development, content mangagement for software development and quality assurance. I am currently studying for a PhD in education and can see various possibilities in applying the Fabacademy experience within the field of design education.
