Finally, it is also available for many different operating systems. You can download GIMP from its site, and it will suggest the one for you.

When starting a new project in Gimp we can configure the work area, its size as well as its resolution, the color space among others.

  • Starting.

  • GIMP is an image editor that provides us with many tools. Repetitive actions are easier in GIMP. Many times you will have to repeat the same process on a large batch of photos, and GIMP's user interface makes this much easier than Photoshop. Although in the end, photoshop is better when editing and retouching photographs. Now let's look at how to draw a box in a few steps

Created a new work area Gimp allows us to draw basic geometric shapes, edit their shape and color to create 2D compositions, but by playing with perspective we can create figures with depth to look like three-dimensional shapes.

Gimp allows us to work with layers with which each element of our composition can be treated independently.

Using the left side toolbar we will draw a basic six-sided shape, to draw a box of chocolates, we will duplicate the shape to form the lid of the box, then we can play with the colors to make a game of lights and shadows which will help to give depth to our drawing

finally we draw a rectangle to emulate a table, and using the text tool we place a text on the lid of our box, we could also import a png with the text and deform it to place it on the lid of the box
