Week Seventeen.

Individual assignment:

Design and produce something with a digital fabrication process (incorporating computer-aided design and manufacturing)

Learning outcomes:

Demonstrate workflows in the process.

Choice and apply suitable materials and processes to do your assignment.

This week I use the digital sewing machine( Janome Memory Craft 15000 )

I followed Salama’s instructions to process the sewing.

First, I google a picture of tree and write my letter near it.

I must choose the hoop size FA10 100X40 hoop.

I watch the video then I setup the fabric into the hoop by placing a paper.

Then secured it by tightening the screw.

I opened digitizer which is a kind of software I use to digitize the pictures and produce a toolpath for the machine.

First, I selected the hoop size.

Then insert my picture by going to Auto digitizer >> Insert artwork.

Select the photos I need.

I clicked on Auto digitize instant embroidery( digitized the image)

I write my letter by going to lettering.

I saved the file in to a USB.

Plugged the USB in the machine.

I needed to fill the top and bottom threads, I filled it with pink.

The first object was the tree the machine did it very well!
