Electronics production

Group Task

Aim: characterize the design rules for your PCB production process.

1- Go to: www.fabmodules.org

2- Click on input format and choose (image.png)

3- Select the image of the trace, click open.

4- Click on output format and select (Roland mill (.rml)

5- Click on process and select (PCB traces (1/64)

8- Click on (calculate)

12- Click on output format and select (Roland mill (.rml)

15- Click on (calculate)

16-choose the v-shape tool 0.01 inch diameter.

18- Mark on the copper board, the origin.

20- click on the z tool zero, it begain go down slowly until touch the metal disk.

23- Delete all previous files, and upload the tracing file

Indivusal Task:

This week task is how to mill a PCB using Roland MDX-50, i used a fabmodlues to generate the rml file that compitable with roland MDX-50, after finish the pcb milling we have to make asoldering for the components and make sure not making short circuit between traces that require to be carful and accurate during the process, then we will move to the final step that is programming fabisb with Arduino.

Fabmodlues:

this is online software using for generate the milling files for tracing or outline cutting , the first step in to uplode the png image in balck and white, then choose the output format it is Roland mill (rml), after that choose the tool diameter for example tracing (1/64) or outline (1/32). after finich this process
