Discussion on different Project idea

In Vigyan Ashram I got many different ideas to work on. I live in a rural area and I know water-related problems face by rural people's. I shared my idea's for rural development such like waste management, food Processing, water recycling with our Director "Dr. Yogesh Kulkarni" and I also had discussion with our Deputy Director "Mr. Ranjeet Shanbhag" on advanced technology in Agriculture.

When I was discussing with my sir, that time I found the concept of Dam Water level Indicator interesting, which will display water level of dam. This will surely help rural people. They will able to know their water storage in dam and than able to plan how should it been use.So,I concluded to do this Project.

Purpose

Because I am from rural area, I have seen that there is limited water supply due to lack of rain. Since, for last 23 years there is no sufficient water and in addition people also not able use it properly. So, I planned to make a device to measure water level, from that measurement we get idea that how long water will be available there. It will show reading on a 7 segment display from which People will able to see and be aware of their water level and plan accordingly to that.

  • 'Water level Sensor' senses dam water level and send that reading to Microcontroller.
  • Microcontroller than send command to transmitter side GSM module which will transmit data in form of sms to the receiver side GSM module.

  • The sms will than received by receiver side GSM module. Then the received data will be display to a LCD Screen.
  • A water level display on LCD module.

    • Solution

    The Dam water level indicator is defined as a system which gets the information about the water level in Dam or reservoirs. which is used in cities and villages. By using the water level indicator we can overcome the overflow of water from the Dams.
