1. Group work

Task:
- design a machine that includes mechanism+actuation+automation
- build the mechanical parts and operate it manually
- document the group project and your individual contribution

2. Personal contribution

I designed a cup cart. To do that I created a box with a spacer in Inkcape using Tabbed box maker extension and added a few cercles. I allined all the parts and laser cut them on Epilog Fusion M2 40 (75W).

Cut settings for 3mm MDF: Speed 6%, Power 90%, Freq.: 20.

And I assembeled the mechanical parts. Press fit joint worked just fine on the preliminary tests. To secure main parts together after putting in all the electronic components we will use PVA glue.

To make the level right I cut a spacers with slots to hold them together.

Not all of the needed holes were on the original drawing, so I cut them by myself. I marked the center of every hole, then I made a few drawings of simple circles in Inkscape and using center engraving setting in the laser cutter software I cut all of them precise enough.

And I made a small test with the tablet dispenser on some failed part.
