3. Computer Aided design

This week I reviewed the tutorials on Tinkercad and Fusion 360. I felt more comfortable with Tinkercad so I created a 3-D design of my final project. I used Inkscape to create the sketch for Week 1 and uploaded the svg version to Tinkercad. Although, I was able to manipulate the 2-D shapes from Inkscape. I was not able to make any significant changes to the 3-D objects. I was only able to change the size of the shapes.

Next Steps

I downloaded Autodesk Fusion 360 so that I can make more detailed changes to the 2-D design that I created using Inkscape. However, I wasn’t able to figure out how to import the 2-D design and manipulate it in Fusion 360. I plan to spend more time learning the program and watching tutorials to learn how to use the program so that I can do parametric design.
