concept & idea
● My initial concept has always been to experiment with sound and I came with an idea of creating this incredibly musically colorful LED lamp by using a microphone to record live sound in the environment, representing itself in various colors and diversified patterns through the Neopixel LED Strip.slide

components & processes
● The base and top of the lamp along with 4 spines:Made out of 12mm Plywood using the computer controlled machine. I used Fusion 360 plywood files in many different ways, along with for vector paths in the Vcarve software, moving on to the Shopbot files for the final operation on the giant Shopbot.
● Remaining 4 spines:
Made out of 12mm clear Acrylic using laser cutting technique. I used similar Fusion 360 file with minor additions, converting them to DXF files acrylic spine and moving on to the acrylic corel draw for final operation on Trotec Laser.
● The PCB Cover:
Made out of 3D Printing using PLA plastic. I designed this 3d model PCB cover files on Fusion 360 and saved in the form of .stl file for slicing process in Cura, then moving on to save the .gcode file for the final printing process. on Ultimaker3 Extended.
● Input and Output Electronics Design:
I fabricated the board combining both the mic and leds connections on the same board I designed on Eagle saving the files electronics design and moving on to progress with fabomodules for the .rml board file and then the milling operation using the Roland SRM-20.
● The code for the board:
I used Arduino to prepare a sketch code in the form on .ino file final code for the board to make the neopixel LEDs react to the microphone sound in diversified color and patterns.
