WHAT DOES THE SMART
CLOTHES MEAN?
The term "smart clothing" means that the clothes include embedded electronics. Some forms of smart clothing have been created, but none have really been mass-produced, and many more are the subject of science fiction stories and cannot be made with current technology.
Just remember the “power suites” in science fiction! It´s amazing! Obviously, nowadays these types of suites don´t exist on the market due to the high cost or the lack of technological development. The idea is that everybody is able to design an electronic board, program any function for it and make an application for the smartphone. Recently the smartphone revolution has surged. Devices that combined telephony and computing were first conceptualized in 1973, and were offered for sale beginning in 1993. In 1999, the Japanese firm NTT Docomo released the first smartphones to achieve mass adoption within a country.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The main objectives of the project is to investigate what types of technology of smart clothes exist nowadays and what clothes it would be interesting to make as the fab academy assignment. Then to determine clearly all the steps of fabrication for chosen smart clothes. After some investigations I have think that its possible to make a Shirt with a temperature and pulse sensor. The intelligent clothes is our future. Probably, it will replace our smartphones soon. Well, for now the clothes I´ll fabricate will be useful for people who care about their security while riding a bike. Their jacket will have some Leds directionals, when they turn on the left, the led will turn on on the left of the shirt.
