Hi and welcome...I`m Nabiswa Aquinas,,I`ve majored in Information Technology with quite extensive knowledge in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering practices...I pertook Fab Academy Diploma in Digital Fabrication and Applications program as post-graduate experience. Its offered by MIT Center of Bits & Atoms and facilitated locally in Kenya by Fablab-University of Nairobi(Science and Technology Park).
There is nothing I enjoy and treasure most than seeing and taking part in an Art and Engineering concept arising from paperwork & thoughts into a complete-usable-sellable design/product...
I Strongly Believe any Idea or Thought taken up with a high dose of enthusiasm and sensible scope of time is as good as done..
The scope of Fab Academy covers 19 major areas ranging from computer-aided design,Digital Fabrication(3D Printing, Molding and Casting also Composites) electronics design and production, hardware and embedded programming,
computer-controlled cutting and machining, mechanical and machine design, and project development which will enact all the skills acquired during the program.
Basically Fab Academy is constituted by Fablabs in over 55 countries around the world including Kenya...we cover the 19 units with each unit allocated one or two weeks,,theory is covered thrice in a 3hr lecture on Wednesdays, Regional review on mondays and Topical conferences whereby top-of-the range guests in the weeks topic are invited... Extensive research, discussions and all kind of assistance are offered throughout the week anytime

The program is very intense ensuring all means and tools available are utilized in each and every area included in curriculum with emphasis on a hands-on approach while tackiling the assignments and classwork...
