Measuring servo motor power sonsumption

Yoshi have a power analyzer Qoitech Otii Arc. This tool can supply power and measure voltage and current. So we measured power consumption of SG90 clone servo motor with this measurement tool.

The servo is used in Yoshi’s week 10 assignment.

We changed wiring between servo motor and microcontroller board. Removed Vdd wire from microcontroller board and connected positive wire from Otii Arc. Kept GND connection and cliped GND wire from Otii Arc.

And recorded power consumption.

Since the servo moves 1 degree step controlled by XIAO, there are many peeks. As a result, we found maximum peek current this servo cunsume was 403 mA.
