Assemble & Test Video
The video below demonstrates the complete assembly process of the driver state monitoring device, including the integration of sensor modules, PCB placement, and enclosure fitting.
Following the assembly, the system was tested in two scenarios:
Driving Simulator: The device was installed on a simulated vehicle cockpit. Real-time detection of stress and mood states (via facial expression analysis and sodium-ion sensing) triggered changes in the LED light ring color, indicating the driver’s condition.
Real Autonomous Vehicle: The system was later mounted inside an actual autonomous driving setup. Based on the measured emotional and physiological state of the driver, the device provided real-time visual feedback via LEDs and wirelessly displayed takeover recommendations on a smartphone interface.
This validated the system’s ability to support safe transitions from autonomous to manual control under varying stress and emotion conditions.
