Vector
Summary
In this project, I focused on understanding the differences between Vector and Raster graphics, learning how each is used in design workflows. To practice vector graphics, I selected Inkscape, a free and powerful vector design software. I learned how to install and navigate Inkscape, following tutorials to master its essential tools and techniques. This hands-on experience helped me create my first vector design, applying the skills I developed throughout the process.
Work Process Detail
Vector vs Raster Graphics:
First i have started by understanding the deference between Vector and Raster, and the following video was super helpful
InkScape

I Have choose InkScape as my Victor practice program, it is free and have a bunch of tutorial and courses all over the internet

🎨 How to use InkScape :
I was looking for a good and easy tutorial to follow and i found the following tutorial:

Creating a Simple Street Sign
- Open Inkscape and create a new document.
- Draw an ellipse (circle) using the Ellipse Tool.
- Hold CTRL + SHIFT to resize while keeping it centered.
- Duplicate the ellipse by right-clicking → Duplicate (instead of CTRL+C, CTRL+V).
- This keeps the new shape aligned to the center of the original.
- Resize the duplicate to be slightly larger or smaller as needed.
- Change the color of each shape using the Fill & Stroke panel.
- Add a rectangle (for text or symbols) and place it in the center using the Align Tool.
- Use the Shape Builder Tool to merge all elements into a single shape.
- Group the design (right-click → Group) to keep everything together.
- Repeat the process for additional signs, including my final project logo.

Learning Outcome
By completing this project, I gained valuable skills in vector graphic design using Inkscape, learning how to create scalable, precise, and high-quality designs suitable for various applications. These skills will be particularly valuable when I design the mission patch for my final project, allowing me to produce a professional, high-quality emblem that effectively represents my work.
