About me

Hello! My name is Andrés Felipe Guarnizo, and I am an innovative and curious engineer, always seeking to learn, create, and share knowledge with my students and community. I currently serve as the Director of the Mechatronics Engineering Program at Universidad Ean, where I lead initiatives that merge education, technology, and sustainability. Additionally, I am an active member of the FabLab at Universidad Ean, where I explore and develop digital fabrication projects with a strong impact on education and industry.
Hobbies & Passions
I have a deep passion for building robots and educational satellites, as well as reading. I find joy in combining technology, hands-on learning, and storytelling to inspire the next generation of makers and engineers.Skills & Expertise
With a strong background in digital circuits, electronics, and project leadership, I thrive at designing and implementing solutions that blend creativity and engineering. My expertise allows me to develop innovative educational experiences and technical projects with a real-world impact.Values & Purpose
I am guided by education, sustainability, and innovation. My mission is to bridge the gap between technology and communities in need, making advanced knowledge accessible and applicable in real-world scenarios. My FabAcademy Journey
I joined FabAcademy to enhance my ability to design and build impactful projects. My journey into digital fabrication started when I needed to develop solutions while learning about satellites in Japan and Turkey. This passion grew stronger during my latest trip to Puebla, Mexico, where I participated in the FAB24 Challenge. I strongly believe that FabLabs and digital fabrication can empower communities and drive meaningful change.Technology & Social Impact
What excites me the most about technology is its potential to simplify complex problems and provide solutions for communities that lack access to essential resources. I strive to create technologies that offer a way out, a new opportunity, and hope for those in need.Key Projects & Achievements
