Hello!

I am Revisankar S, a machinist and Mechanical Engineer from Kollam, Kerala. Currently, I am working as a Coordinator at Super Fablab Kerala, where I contribute to supporting innovation and manufacturing.

I am proud to have won the India Skills Kerala 2018 competition in CNC Milling and represented Kerala at the India Skills Regionals (South) in the same category. Additionally, I was fortunate to be part of the "Student Development Programme to Singapore," organized by the Government of Kerala and KASE, which broadened my global perspective on technology and engineering.

Experience

I have been a part of Super Fablab Kerala for the past year, gaining invaluable experience in both subtractive and additive manufacturing. While primarily working in the subtractive manufacturing section, I’ve had the opportunity to explore projects in additive manufacturing as well. During my time here, I contributed to remarkable projects such as a low-poly moving whale made from cardboard and an art installation inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea.

I have hands-on experience with a variety of advanced machines, including Flatbed Digital Cutter, Wire EDM, Laser Cutter, Abrasive Waterjet, CNC Milling, CNC Lathe, Wood Router, and 3D Printers.

My Projects

  1. Cardboard Phonestand

  2. It is a phone stand designed in Fusion 360, fabricated using the Zund digital cutter, and entirely crafted from cardboard.
