Introduction

Hello and KUZUZANGPOLA everyone. This is Tsheltrim Lhamo,a very cheerful 16 year old and I welcome you to my webpage with a huge smile, where all the learnings and mistakes of this journey will be recorded. Currently, I am studying in the 11th grade at The Royal Academy. I come from Mongar, the far eastern land of Bhutan, a place known for its oranges, so it’s no surprise that I love them. I come from a very loving and supportive family who have always shown interest in my pursuit of learning more about STEM. I have two younger brothers who, like me, are growing up steadily to become constructive, contributory citizens of a just and harmonious society, as envisioned by His Majesty. I’ve been fortunate enough to be born in a country under the dynamic leadership of His Majesty, but I was even more fortunate to study at Druk Gyalpo's Institute. As a true scout of Bhutan, patriotism is embedded within me, and I hope to make my king, country, and people proud of who I am and who I will become in the future.
My hobbies
Hmm, come to think of it, I have loads of hobbies, but if I had to narrow it down, I particularly love working, learning, and doing projects related to technology. I also have a keen interest in music—particularly the piano and guitar. I also enjoy using my leisure time by reading philosophical or compelling books and by watching the latest trending films. I also love to go out camping as I find it a very relaxing and and I think of it as a learning experience where we acquire various important skills. At The Royal Academy, learners, both students and adults, participate in 2 Nature Retreats every year. Each Nature Retreat is an important learning experience that spans a period of 5 nights and 6 days each. It helps us develop survival and social skills that the 4 walls within a classroom can't help develop. Other than the nature retreats, I have been a part of 18th Leadership Training for Scouts held at Gelephu from 18th January, 2024 and ended on 4th February, 2024. The training aimed to equip scouts with essential skills such as fostering responsibility, adaptibility and a service-oriented mindset. Similarly, I as the nominee of The Royal Academy as well as of Paro Dzongkhag for the 17th Golden Youth Award Camp that will be held from 17th, March, 2025 to 22nd March, 2025. I love going on camps because I get to interact with a lot of new people who introduces new ideas and socialize with everyone.
Background.
In 2022, while in grade 8, I designed my first project—a Minion—and since then, the spark that ignited my passion has evolved into a blazing flame. I’ve also had wonderful experiences creating games through Python, such as Pacman and XO, in the Game Inventor competition, as well as using Blender to showcase a historical artifact in the Virtual Museum project in the e-Yantra competitions hosted by IIT Bombay. I also had the amazing opportunity to be a part of Fab23 Bhutan where I experienced hands-on workshop on Hand-on paper making and making portable spinning wheel-Learning cotton spinning. After that, I anticipated challenging myself even further, and Fab Academy has come as the perfect opportunity for me to push my limits.
