17. Applications and implications
This week was about answering some important questions about the Final Project.
What will it do?
What my project is going to do is provide parents a way to know their children emotions everytime. This by using an application and the device that connects with the emotions.
Who's done what beforehand?
- Educational Tools for Emotional Literacy: Various educational tools and resources have been developed to help children understand and manage their emotions.
- Emotion Recognition Technologies: The project builds on the existing field of emotion recognition, a significant area of study for psychologists like Paul Ekman. Ekman developed the Facial Action Coding System (FACS) to identify facial expressions associated with different emotions.
- Educational Tools for Emotional Literacy: Various educational tools and resources have been developed to help children understand and manage their emotions.
- Interactive Devices and Wearables: Prior work in creating interactive devices and wearables for children includes various projects aimed at promoting emotional and social skills.

What processes will be used?
The processes that are being used are:
- Computer aided desing
- 3D printing
- Laser cutting
- Milling of PCB
- Soldering
- Embedded programming
- Creating of an application
- Programming of databases and python coding.
How will it be evaluated?
I think if the project is working we can check the next:
- The neopixel matrix working.
- The send of the emotion to the database.
- The correct display of the emotions on the app.
