My Final Project
Hydroponic Gardens - A different approach to the conventional farming
What is it?
My goal is to create a hydroponic garden in an easy and useful manner, making it as esthetically appealing as possible, I want it to be looked at, to be asked about, to not only grow different vegetables and being completely self-sustaining, but to be a beautiful piece of art that we can all have at home, without the need for acres and acres of land. I want to create a lifestyle that affects the way users think and consume.
The design is heavily inspired by one of the key concepts in the incoming design aesthetic trend (by Fashion Snoops) Honest - Desert Ease, dry desert aesthetics that receive an elevated revival with more formal silhouettes and subtle nods to this trend, I decided to guide myself down this trend because I wanted, as I said, to generate a product that matters to the user having it, not only seeing it as a garden but as a valuable.
First Sketches
Here we see how my idea began, inspired by different types of cactus, stacked one on top of the other, and the two views it has for the different places the plants will grow.
