Invention, Intellectual Property and Income

On this week assignment we have to develop a plan for dissemination of my final project and also start drafting the slide and video fo our final presentation.

Dissemination plan

So I have a lot of plan for the future with this project, one of them is to improve it making it a lot smaller and with more features and use it as an ASE III project. ASE stands for Área de Síntesis y Evaluación (Synthesis and Evaluation Area) and it makes the student enters his professional practice, so that he recovers, synthesizes and integrates the training he has received throughout his studies at the University.

Right now, one of the goals of this project was to combine modern electornics with casual thing like clothes, but in a future I change the goal of the project into a more athletic one, including more features as detect cardiac rhythm and stuff like that.

But, before changing the goal of the project into a more ambitious one I have to set some thing first.

  • Improve production: Although I managed to make the project from "scratch" in a kinda short amount of time, thing like the creation thread matrix can improve, like using a sewing machine or talk with texitle designer to se any area of improvement.

  • User experience: Make different people use it to see how they feel with it, and how easy to learn is to use it. Ask them if it is comfortable and what can they improve.

  • Improve the divice: The device works perfect, but there are al lot of things to improve, like it size can be a lot smaller.

Intellectual Property

The licence I decided to use for my project is a Creative Common Licence. Creative Commons is a Online web page helps you share your knowledge and creativity with the world.

I did not know what type of license I wanted, that is why I took the test to see which one best fits.

The licence they recommended me was the CC BY-NC 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International).

This license requires that reusers give credit to the creator. It allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, for noncommercial purposes only.

You are free to:

  • Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

  • Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material

And the licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.

Under the following terms:

  • Attribution: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

  • NonCommercial: You may not use the material for commercial purposes .

  • No additional restrictions You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

And here is the licence:
