About Me:
I am Erick González, a 22-year-old electronics engineering student from Puebla, Mexico. Ever since I was young, I have been driven by a desire to become an engineer, constantly seeking knowledge about subjects that fascinated me.
Now, I am passionate about music, vehicles, computing hardware and designing electronics with implications in all kinds of environments: From simple audio or lighting equipment to fully-fledged energy management systems, using both digital and analog electronic approaches. Within those interests, I like to be inmersed in all aspects needed for the development of smart city and intelligent energy systems that contribute to a more efficient, cleaner and overall safer society.
Previous work
I have engaged in many interesting proyects before, but is of the following, that I feel the most proud of.
Interactive Bicycle Electric Generator (Teamwork)
My team and I were able to conceptualize, design and prototype, in a very limited timeframe, a gamified approach to teach children between 8 and 13 years old about the importance of taking good care of energy and natural resources. Through the implementation of an original videogame interfaced with a real electricity generating bicycle, we strived to solve the proposed problem.
High-Fidelity 100W Stereo Audio Amplifier with Speakers
Accomplished the design, fabrication and assembly of a 100W Stereo Audio Power Amplifier with Hi-Fi capabilities, incluiding the design and fabrication of a pair of high-quality speakers to be connected to said amplifier.
Automatic Liquid Cooling System for Desktop Computer
Implemented a self made, fully automatic liquid cooling system for a desktop computer, using automotive parts and the ESP32 platform to control the system via a specially designed PCB.
Photovoltaic Smart Management System
Installed a low power (less than 200W) PV system with a self made utility power transfer switch, MPPT battery charge controller and a brand-name power inverter. The system was easily monitored via a mobile app.
FPGA Based Keyboard Synthetizer with VGA Output Support
Using an Altera MAX10 FPGA programmed in Verilog, I achieved a very capable square wave keyboard Synthetizer with 24 simultaneous audio channels and a didactic VGA interface for a 640 x 480px 4 bit color display.
