Tomohiro Inoue
It's Me!

Hello! Mate.

I’m Tomohiro Inoue!

This is my history.

1987: Born in Sakai City, Osaka
2012: Toyohashi University of Technology, Graduate School Department of Architecture and Urban Systems
 2012-2013: Noiz Architects, Tokyo
 2014 ~ FABLAB Kitakagaya
2014 ~ KYOTO Design Lab Design Factory at Kyoto Institute of Technology

My area of specialism is digital fabrication. I teach this to students using D-Lab's Digital Fabrication Factory at the Kyoto Institute of Technology, which I have run since its initiation in 2014. At the weekends, I do the same as a volunteer to users of FABLAB Kitakagaya in Osaka. My main focus of activity is making and manufacturing using digital fabrication. My great interest lies in the maker movement worldwide and its promotion as a community movement for long-term social change. One of my projects, Digital Folk Instrument Workshop was a fnalist in the 2015 YouFab Global Creative Awards.

I have benefited a lot from the FABLAB community. Not only have I made many friends to create things with, but I have also found a lifelong companion, been blessed with children, and even “Fabbed” my own unique wedding ceremony with many people that I’ve met in the community.

Though my experience with FABLAB so far is mainly focused on the local activities. I would very much like to take this chance of participating the FABACADEMY to spread the message out to a broader audience.
