Tomohiro Inoue

Hello! Mate.
I’m Tomohiro Inoue!
This is my history:
- 1987: Born in Sakai City, Osaka
- 2012: Toyohashi University of Technology, Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Systems
- 2012–2013: Noiz Architects, Tokyo
- 2014–: FABLAB Kitakagaya
- 2014–: KYOTO Design Lab Design Factory, Kyoto Institute of Technology
My area of specialism is digital fabrication. I teach this to students using D-Lab's Digital Fabrication Factory at the Kyoto Institute of Technology, which I have run since its initiation in 2014. At weekends, I do the same as a volunteer at FABLAB Kitakagaya in Osaka.
My main focus is on making and manufacturing using digital fabrication. I’m deeply interested in the global maker movement and how it promotes community-driven, long-term social change. One of my projects, the Digital Folk Instrument Workshop, was a finalist in the 2015 YouFab Global Creative Awards.
Thanks to the FABLAB community, I’ve gained lifelong friends, found my partner, and even celebrated a unique FAB wedding crafted by the people I met there.

While most of my FABLAB experience has been rooted in local initiatives, I’m now excited to participate in FABACADEMY to expand these connections globally.
