Group assignment:

For this week, we’ve decided to make a pet food dispenser.

Introduction

in a world where our lives are increasingly bbusy and punctuated by tight schedules, it’s essential to find innovative solution to care for our four-legged companions. Amond them, our feline friends occupy a special place in our homes, but reconciling our busy schedules with their nutritional needs can sometime be a challenge. With thid in mind, we set out to design something revolutionary : an intelliegnt kibble dispenser specially designed for our whiskered friends.

For modeling, refer to [Sylvain Koffi DROH]’s website(fabacademy.org/2024/labs/inphb/koffi-droh/assignments/week10/). you will see the process of modeling each part of the dispenser to obtain the following results

3D printing

we’re going to use the 3d printers ultimaker and Prusa to print our parts.

for the slicer, we used Ultimaker Cura for the ultimaker and Prusa slicer for the Prusa.

For our project, here are the components we will be using

  • Arduino nano

  • L298N module

  • Push-button and buzzer

  • Motor

Electronic part

we’re going to design a pcb on which to mount our various components. Let’s use kicad to design the electronics

after production, this is what we get

Define a hole size of 0.3 mil to avoid holes as large as ours

Laser Cut

the dispenser is equipped with a control screen. We decided to make the control screen in dxf.

  • We have downloaded the box file from the Boxes.py

  • We made modifications to suit our needs using inkscape
