Group assignment:

  • Complete your lab’s safety training
  • Test runout, alignment, fixturing, speeds, feeds, materials and toolpaths for your machine
  • Document your work to the group work page and reflect on your individual page what you learned

Individual assignment:

  • Make (design+mill+assemble) something big

To do:

  • Link the group assignment page
  • Document how I designed my object (something big)
  • Document how I made my CAM-toolpath
  • Document how I made something BIG (setting up the machine, using fixings, testing joints, adjusting feeds and speeds, depth of cut etc.)
  • Describe my problems and how I fixed them
  • Include my design files and ‘hero shot’ of my final product

  • Demonstrate 2D design development for CNC milling production
  • Describe workflows for CNC milling production
