Intellectual Property: Using a Creative Commons Licence

Since we are working in the Fab Academy, most of our work is already open to the world, and for my final project I also plan to keep it that way. I plan on using the CC license which helps protect my own work and its super easy to use.

I chose the license based a bit on how I want my work to be used, so I basically want it to be with Attribution (BY) where they mention the original work if they copy or remix it, but it always need to stay in a Non-Commercial (NC) ground and respecting the license that was already assigned to the work when it was created (SA).

Even though the license I chose is one of the least open ones in the CC realm, I believe it still gives a lot of freedom to anyone who wants to use the idea.

Distribution (Plan of Dissemination)

This one is a hard one, since this is only the first ring of development of the project and I plan on continuing on working on it. My project is going to be attached to my Thesis to finish the career, so the dissemination part is going to be attached to the protocol that my University has for sharing the work of the graduating students.

Before finishing I plan on having a bit of a research study done with it, to actually see how much the robot can actually help kids learn about coding and electronics. That is all going to be used for the final book that I need to present with the project to finish up the career.

There is going to be a Dissertation when I finish writing the book that will accompany all of the work and it is also going to be displayed in the library of the University and most likely remain in their database as well.
