Electronic production
Welcome to the 4th week, during this week we work on characterizing the design rules for your in-house PCB production process send a PCB out to a board house as a group assignment and the individual assignment, make and test a microcontroller. The outcomes will be described and broken down as below:
Softwares used during the week
FlatCAM
With Flatcam we can handle gerber, images and SVG as an object and work with it.
GIMP
If we want to import an image in flat we need to know the dpi, so it was done with GIMP software as it is shown.
First a test
In FlatCAM were put all the parameters for isolation and cutout and saved with the format and extension the vnpannel software of the CNC router can read (.nc)
Here the outcome
With struggles and some tips learned
As it can be seen, the drill broke the cupper, it as because the adhesive tape was not well adhered to the surface.
Now the assigment
With Quentorres design uploaded in the fabacademy page the practice were done
The first picture is the quentorres design and the second one is a modified of, so we erk with the last one.
Components were welded and finally the toy is ready for being programmed hehe.
Firmare and Thonny IDE
Firmware were downloaded from micropython.org and thonny form thonny.org
The latest version of firmware were donwloaded and pasted into the new toy.
