Week 7, Computer Controlled Machining
This week I needed to make something big using cnc
To satisfy this, I decided to make a Tower shield, Pretty much just a really tall shield. The design isn't too complicated in itself. Really all I did was cut a 2 level pocket into a sheet of wood and cut it to the right size.

This isn't what the final design looks like (due to material and time constraints) but it has the same idea/shape to it
I didn't actually design any of it using 3D CAD. I designed it using adobe illustrator, I just kept the size 1 to 1

Here's what I made
With that done, I next set up the router to be able to cut this using CNC (sadly I don't have pictures of the set up part because I forgot to screenshot)

Here's how it turned out (with the metal mesh installed)

Next I spray painted the top of it…

And connected it to the bottom part.

Now here's the part where I had to head home from my dorm
All the work I did on the bottom part was manual so I’ll just show the end results
After I spray painted it, I mounted the handle and handle strap, here's how it looks
