Drone
I am going to build an RC-controlled drone. The drone will be able to navigate in all 6 directions in 3d space. I am planning to add additional features beyond basic motion; for now, I will use an accelerometer that senses if any external force is applied to the drone, and based on the magnitude and direction of the force, the drone will go back to its original position once the force is removed.
Design
Here is a rough Adobe 2D sketch of how the drone frame will look like.
Here is a 3D design of how the drone frame will look like. I am still deciding what kind of propellers and motors I am going to use, as I have to take multiple factors into account such as the weight and size of the drone and the type of flight controller I am going to build.
Research
Mainly, I will have to find the appropriate material for the chassis of the drone. Since I have limited machines in the lab, I may not be able to use regular materials used in drone manufacturing. Also, I still need to research what additional features I can add to the drone, not beyond the scope of my resources and expertise to make sure it is doable.
