Week 10. CNC Machine Design
This week we brainstormed, designed, and programmed a CNC pen plotter.

Individual Assignment
All 3 of us started out the brainstorming process looking at examples of other pen plotters and trying to see if we could recycle parts of an old printer that we had.

After several sketches and ideas, we honed in on our plan. Kelleigh created a great drawing to scale to get us started.

I then scanned and converted the drawing into a DXF and used it to create the CAD model.


We decided to include a storage box underneath to keep paper, pens, etc so I created a CAD model and laser cut the box.

After laser cutting all the parts, we worked to assemble the final product pictured below.
