Assignments:
Your project should incorporate 2D and 3D design,
additive and subtractive fabrication processes,
electronics design and production,
embedded microcontroller interfacing and programming,
system integration and packaging
Where possible, you should make rather than buy
the parts of your project
Projects can be separate or joint, but need to show individual
mastery of the skills, and be independently operable
What will it do?
It will be a device that recognizes parts that are inserted into it
Who's done what beforehand?
What will you design?
I'm going to design the product case, the cards with the magnet, the plates with the sensor hall using the Attiny as the heart of all.
What materials and components will be used?
It can be summed up to this: Plywood + PLA + PCB Boards + Speaker Ø60 + MP3 module + ATTINY 45 and 44
How much will they cost?
With the whole electronic components, laser cut time, 3d printing time, electronic components, assembly time, and also programming.
The thing would be around 300 USD.
What parts and systems will be made?
The manufacturing of all the components of the device (the laser cutting, the 3D printing and the manufacturing of the plates) was done, but for the sounds it was decided to purchase an MP3 module.
How will it be evaluated?
Once the academy is finished it would be interesting to replicate it, but with changes regarding the size or also functions, making something more portable
What processes will be used?
The processes used for the elaboration are LASER CUTTING AND ENGRAVING - 3D PRINTING - ROUTING AND DESIGN OF PCB BOARDS
What questions need to be answered?
🔳
Can it be a card recognized by inserting without having a button that is triggered?
If possible, by activating a signal by means of light, applying pressure according to the actuating plug or having a sensor that detects the magnetic field of the plug
What is the easiest way to transmit information to a device?
I was thrilled to find a solution for the chip identification problem using a Hall type sensor. It was not the most obvious choice, since the Pogo Pin would have been much simpler and faster, but I had some limitations with the tasks I had to do (such as the sensors). So I decided to challenge myself and try something different and more creative. I think it worked out pretty well and I learned a lot from the process.
