About me

Hello there! I am Adam Durrett, a high school Computer Science teacher, web developer and double major in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Charlotte, NC. I studied at North Carolina State University - Raleigh, and graduated with my degrees in the "great" year of 2020. I currently teach AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles, Electrical Engineering, Data Structures and, one of my favorites, Game Design.

Teaching at Charlotte Latin has been an incredible experience with top of the line students, vast quantities of resources, and of course the Fablab where I can experiment, develop and learn alongside my students. Prior to teaching here, I had only a little experience with woodworking tools such as a bandsaw and the ShopBot, but now I am familiar with using 3D printers, laser cutters, pcb milling machines, and using more "scary" woodworking tools such as routers, the tablesaw and other equipment I didn't have prior access to. Since working at Latin, I have learned exponentially more than I would have on my own and enhanced my previous electrical engineering and programming skills. Below, you can check out a few of the projects that I have completed within recent years. Thanks for stopping by!
