What I am interested on?

My artistic work is mainly focused on the creation of sculptural projects, three-dimensional art installations and interventions in large-scale public spaces. My artistic proposals combine art, science and technology. Analog manufacturing techniques are combined with digital manufacturing: Computerized Numerical Control (CNC), digital printing, and laser cutting and engraving; always looking for innovation in formal solutions.

In the artistic field my latest installations explore the complexity of contemporary society: mobility, connection between cities (physical and digital), polycentric urban systems, data visualization, climate change and environmental emergencies; these are some of the themes I have dealt with in my latest projects.

Where do I teach?

In the academic field I am a Professor at European University of Madrid since 2003. In the last two decades I have been teaching Art and Design subject, both theorical and practices.

Why to take the Fab Academy?

My interest in taking the Fab Academy program is mainly focused on the opportunity to investigate new materials applying digital fabrication techniques; in the need to continue learning after twenty years teaching; and in the possibility of following a complete and complex training in technological aspects that I have always wanted to learn or deepen in their knowledge. The opportunity to take this program would be a turning point and growth in my artistic career allowing me to contribute and design innovative solutions based on new technologies in future projects of the studio.
