Fabricating the PCB Milling Machine

For our machine week, our group decided to fabricate the PCB Milling Machine. The idea popped up after having issues with our SRM-20 bed. It was not levelling thus failing to mill boards evenly.The tasks at hand were considered and determined to be the following by my group.

Individual Task

In our group we distributed the work and I was assigned to design a holder for the machine. I designed the holder in Fusion 360.

Following is the steps taken to 3D design the holder

   After asking for the required measurement from the designing team, I sketched the above sketch.

   After that I extruded and used slot to make the holes in the holder.
   
   
3. 
   
   To make the sides smoother I applied fillet on all sides.

   And this is the final design.

Assembly

AFter each member completed their assigned task we assembled it. Below is the images for the group members assebling it.

Testing

Below is a video of the members testing the function of the machine. With all the effort from each team member, the machine making week was a great success and great learning experience.
