Camilo Ortiz

My name is Camilo Ortiz I’m 27 years old, I studied Mechatronics engineering and did my Internship in the Medical Simulation Center of Universidad UTE where I had the opportunity to learn how to use recycled and random materials to repair the simulators. Then I develop my bachelor thesis related to medical simulators. This project made me notice how helpfull and powerfull digital fabrication technologies are when you need to design and make things happen efficiently.

Where I am from

I am from Quito-Ecuador, this city is surrounded of volcanos, in the east flanks there is the Pichincha volcano that remains active to date. Quito is 2,820 metres or 9,250 feet above sea level, is a place where you can see amazing landscapes and enjoy beautiful places as the historic centre of Quito which is known because of the well conserved religious symbols like churches and other buildings.

Something else...

I like outdoors activities, sports in general but mainly climbing. When I was 13 years old I climbed Pasochoa, the first mountain I had climb in my life and then I just keep going, the beautiful landscapes made me focus on photography, so I can share this views with others through the pictures I take.
