How to Make Almost Anything...
The enclosure where I'll put all the control electronics, power and sensors will be on the top of the aquarium. At the beginning of the project I had planned to do this part with composite but everything changed when in week 12 the composite did not go as I expected (week 12). In the end I chose to make the enclosure with acrylic
For the design I used CATIA and I have created the whole structure uniting flat parts, all these parts come together in pressfit.
Once the design is done I have drawn the cutting planes to cut the whole design in laser cutting. Due to the size of the cutter, I have divided the pieces in 3 different sheets
Once the pieces are cut will fit in pressfit and silicone is added. The silicone will make the whole box is sealed.
The whole structure will rest on two steel rods which in turn they are to be moored to the glass by four couplings.
