Son of a skilled Portuguese carpenter, I spent most childhood days between my dad's shop building custom wood toys and the tree houses built with friends in the woods of my native village near Fatima.
After graduating in Industrial Design at
ESAD CR
I went abroad for a season to
Nottingham Trent University
, attending the Furniture and Product Design course as an exchange student.
Back in Portugal since 2006 I joined
Temahome
, an international portuguese brand, leading, creating and developing furniture and product design concepts considering human factors, product brand, manufacturing methods, cost and ease of service, aesthetics, appropriate materials and competitive products from briefing stage all the way to production line.
Since ive started my own journey as a independant freelancer developing and colaborating in projects from product, furniture, lighting up to interior design.
Curious and passionate thinker about complex systems like most industrial production processes it also devotes my attention, the unique details, care and aura of skilled craftsmen objects.
Recently I joined my skills (creative design and development) with my dad (machinery and production) to develop a custom project and object brand we called "verissimo" like his first name and my second name.
