ABOUT ME:
Denis Chavarry Hernandez
I was born in Pacasmayo, a small harbor on the northern Peruvian coast. Every summer, I go back to Pacasmayo with my family. We not only enjoy spending time with relatives and friends there, we also enjoy seafood and the delicious northern cuisine, Swimming in Pacasmayo's beautiful beach is a favorite pastime of mine.
For as long as I remember, I have loved the ocean, the beach, and the waves of my hometown. Interestingly, nowadays, Pacasmayo's beach is recognized as having the longest "LEFT WAVE" of the world. Such acknowledgment has not only made Pacasmayo popular in the internet but also as the ultimate surfers' destination.
PROJECT TEACHING
I am an Electrical Engineer, graduated at the National University of Callao. I have several years of practical industrial work. Presently, I teach at TECSUP Technological Institute, in Lima, Peru. I am a profesor in the INDUSTRIAL ELECTROTECHNICAL DEPARMENT, in charge of the AUTOMATION and RENEWABLE ENERGY laboratories.
My daily work is predominantly in the area of Industrial Automation Systems, specifically in the areas of Electro Pneumatics, Electro Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers (PLC), as well as Renewable Energy.
Since I started working at TECSUP, I have been involved in the training for Projects program. This program is based on practical exercises providing students with the opportunity to go beyond the pure theoretical level in order to develop their capacity to perform on their own track and direction, aiming to set up and implement a module of three-dimensional structures with an intermediate level of sensors technology.
For the instructor, however, these teachings not only represent a means to motivate the students to perform certain tasks on their own initiative, they are previous planification work, as well as help with the preparation of the materials which will be later used in implementing projects with the students.
Nowadays however, with the daily appearance of new technologies, it is absolutely necessary to develop new skills and to acquire new valuable knowledge. The Fab Academy is clearly the right choice to realize our potencial. It will lead us to a valuable and rewarding lifelong skill.
I am starting this program with great enthusiasm and expectations, especially, encouraged for the highly motivated and focused individuals that take part in the FAB ACADEMY 2015.
