Final Project
My final project idea is to create a podium for my school's theater. It will involve:
- CNC cutting the main body of the podium from oak veneer plywood
- 3D CNC machining our logo (intarsia style)
- Laser cutting a clear acrylic backplate/backlight for the logo
- Designing/making a circuit to power EL wire as a backlight imbedded into the acrylic backplate
- Resin casting/coating the logo and backplate with epoxy resin
- Upholstering a wrist rest
- Possibly create a microphone stand/snake
