FABISP Computer controled machinig is was the revolution in modern fabrication

And it's principel's gone be the drive for the digital fabrication.

In this week i dicided to build a coat hanger.

Furniture is always a must have in digital fabrication and expecialy in this week.

So i need one and i design and build one. First the design.

In my fablab at penela we have licence to Rhino so i chouse rhino as a design tool. My Background is not design, so i must learn many thing's.

Fisrt e sketch-up the idea with Luis carvão in a Piece of paper.

Then i start to design it on Rhino.

Then i start to design the foot.

i use a spline and i modelate it until it get's the shape i think that was ok.

and now it look's like this.

After this i make an extrude in booth design's with the thickness of the material. 31mm (in fact the ply wood was 30mm but when we measure it...)

Then e make an assembly of the two pieces and start to trim and boolean split.

After that i test the joint i machine it in our great machine the Portuguese shopbot Ouplan

I use an 6mm Flat end mill foto4
