About me
My name is Juan Esteban Vallejo but you can call me Juanes. I'm Architect and 26 years old, I'm from Medellín, Colombia but currently Living in Sitges, Spain where I am doing the Fab Academy at the Beach Lab, Fab Lab Sitges.
I discovered the Fab Lab world a couple of years ago when I coursed insitu medellin in 2012, a workshop initiative by where I currently work uAbureau and Blokcad Lab, this workshop researches the non consolidated urban areas in the cities and gives solutions to the situations encountered through participatory design with the communities that lives around and the Fab Labs.
In 2013 I participated as a tutor, then insitu was contacted to make 21 projects in the whole city aiming to bring social innovation and the construction of a social network that develop the projects together with communities. I worked with the coordination and construction team and I confirmed the high worth of the Fab Labs and its networks, that also has let known the project and its scopes at the point that in Venezuela, Peru and Turkey they want to make it as well.
