How to disseminate it?
The FABFEEDER was made for market of one: myself.
But i believe it could be of use for others, since weighting pets food is a common activity for pet owners, especially those who have pets in growing ages.
Before it can be disseminated, it needs a lot of work and development. But once it reaches a stage of completion, the strategie should be:
1 - betatesting with volunteers , by publishing design and code files online, for open source development
2 - fine tunning from input of the betatesters / open development and animal-friendly community
3 - Creating lists of components and suppliers to optimize costs
4 - Create line of products:
a) assembled fabfeeder (3 sizes - small, medium and large dogs)
b) diy parts kit (structure, electronics, etc)
c) electronics kits (people can produce locally from the open source design files) - reinforce the possibilities of personalization within the community)
5 - Gather and engage the development community and the pet-related online communities
6 - Build a online platform for people to buy the products and get info on building instructions, tips, etc, but also to contribute, get informed, sell parts, personalized designs for the front part, etc
7 - Keep making the Fabfeeder better and better.
