The Mac stand is a parametrically designed pressfit construction. The cardboard - model is being cutted with LaserPRO Spirit GE 30W
Process:The basic geometry has been created in Rhino.
This has been loaded into Grasshopper and sliced into X and Y contours controlled by sliders. With these the amount uf subdivision in both directions can be addapted
The intersections are being defined by a line which is subdivided in half. According to the dimension of the material the cylindrical geometry can be adappted which is then being substracted from the surface
The last step is to unfold the pieces/ make 2D/ and export it as needed.
