The aim of this class assignment is about invention, intellectual property and income. The goal of this assignment is to develop a plan for dissemination of our final project. Are you going to give it away? Are you going to sell it? Are you going to license it? Is it a business, a product or a service? The content of the class can be found

My Final Project contains two parts, the Hardware like the 3d printed and lasercut parts as well as the aluminium rails and on the other hand the software. Behind the philosophy of the Fab Lab network the whole project will be open source and freely availble. The Final Project is published on Gitshub as well as on my fabacademy page. The Idea behind this is that everyone can take/download and further develope this project according to his/her individual needs. In order to be able to do that the Fab LAb suited best for me.

Which basically involves:

- This work may be reproduced, modified, distributed, performed, and displayed for any purpose, but must acknowledge "project name". Copyright is retained and must be preserved. The work is provided as is; no warranty is provided, and users accept all liability.

Income

The Project emerged out of a personal interest. and will be used for documenting other projects being produced in the Fab Lab. As a result in the case of making money out of it I rather would provide a Service on a professional and educational level rather than raising up a company. But as everything is opensource that wouldn`nt make a lot of sense in a longer term. The other opportunity would be selling the physical kit as i can imagine that not everyone has the time and knowledge to produce one by themselve. To fund it i would put it on a crowdfunding platform in order to be able to optimise it.
