When I left highschool, I started a Master in Commercial Economy, for various reasons, none of which where valid in the long term.
Still, I learned a lot in that period, about running commercial projects, but perhaps more important about myself. I decided I should
find another study, and to do so a job to 'buy' me some time. I started in in-house distribution in one of the biggest record stores of
the country, and soon got promoted to department manager. Again I learned heaps, how to manage a team, salesmen, customers... until I found
my new study, a master in Arts and Technology. I graduated 5 years later with an interactive installation that translated the emotional state
of the internet into a drink. Users could 'taste' how people on the internet where feeling... During those studies I worked as an intern at
the Waag Society when they opened a Fablab. I spend a couple of months in Norway, with lot's of people from the
Fab Lab network, in a pre-cursor to the Fab Academy.
Now I'm full time lab manager in the CCSTI Fablab Grenoble, tending to the machines, the people and the spaces.
Great job, building lot's of stuff, and helping Fab Academy students since 2014.
I love problem solving, and creating solutions. I am
now well versed in a multitude of construction techniques, and I am fluent with almost any computer controlled machine, from 3D
printers to 3 axis mills, from lasers to plotters. I mostly use Rhino for 3D design, and Illustrator for 2D, but I use a multitude of
other design packages when they are the better choice for the application I'm working on.

I love skiing, jumping out of planes with a parachute, long hikes, home cooked meals, and sharing all these things.
Things that make me happy are reading (on my kindle), melting aluminum (in my cut open propane bottle), riding my motorbike
(Honda CB1000 Super Four), welding steel (MIG) and spending time with my wife and son, and good company.
I currently live close to Grenoble in
the French Alps.
