LED signage

I am the technical director for LUX an international festival of light we are hosting here in Wellington NZ (www.lux.org.nz), we need to design and fabricate 18 outdoor artist panels that describe the works, so this will be my project on the shotbot.

Here is a image of the final product, I was also an exhibitor in the festivle and this sign describes my work.

I am using 12v waterproof led strip lighting and high visibility pink 4mm acrylic

The fabrication files were designed in Vectorworks and exported as a DXF file, this was then opened in PartWorks and the cutting paths generated.

Here you can see the electronics embedded into the 18mm plywood channels cut on the shotbot.

A top plate is then fastened on top to enclosure the circuit and create slot for the acrylic housing.

They signs dont photograph very well, but they were very effective and recieved lots of postive comments.
