For the machine construction, I have built a Prusa Mendel it2 RepRap 3D printer.

First of all I get the printed parts from the RepRap local group.

I started with de chassis assembly.

Here the extruder also built with printer parts.

I made my own hobbed bolt to guaranty correct filament grip on the extruder.

I made my own hobbed bolt grip test with two milk packages and a piece of 1.75mm ABS

For the electronics I used an open hardware kit, called “Sanguinololu”
