My name is
Rubén, I’m living in León, a really beautiful & peaceful small city in the
north-west of Spain.
I’m
electronics & automation engineer, renewable energy system technician and
I’m actually coursing a cybernetic & nanotechnology research master degree.
When I was
a child, I love to “destroy” all my toys to know how it’s works, try to repair
and rebuild the damaged ones and always try to make a lot of different things
by myself.
I had been
working in automation on railway sector during the last two and a half years.
In January
2011, I traveled to Barcelona and discover the Fab Lab movement by Fab Lab
Barcelona Fab Boot Camp, it was and amazing unforgotten week to me.
After this,
by the hand of tMA foundation I start to work in Fab Lab León star up.
In August
2011, I participated on the international Fab7 conference in Lima, where I
present the Fab Lab Leon project to the Fab Lab network.
At he end
of 2011, after a year of very hard work, everything was already to open the
doors of our Fab Lab León.
I started
the Fab Academy 2012, but because of some personal problems it was impossible
to me to finish the course.
So, this
year, I’m on the Fab Academy again and I’m ready to learn a lot about digital
fabrication & DIY culture and of course I hope to meet rock people involved
on this amazing movement.
